Recipe – Paneer Bhurji or Paneer Bharta

Ingredients

  • Grated Paneer or Fresh Chhena: 1 Cup
  • Oil: 1 Teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds: ½ Teaspoon
  • Ginger: Crushed or paste, ½ Teaspoon
  • Garlic: Crushed or paste, ½ Teaspoon
  • Green chili: Crushed or paste, ½ Teaspoon
  • Onion: 1 medium sized, chopped
  • Tomato: 1 medium sized, chopped
  • Turmeric Powder: ½ Teaspoon
  • Red chili powder: ½ Teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder: ½ Teaspoon
  • Garam Masala Powder: ½ Teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • Lemon juice: a few drops
  • Fresh coriander leaves: 1 Tablespoon

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and when it changes color, add onion, ginger, garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes or till onions are golden brown.
  • Add tomato, green chili, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add grated paneer and salt. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add some freshly chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  • Serve.
