Recipe – Karela Juice / Bitter Gourd Juice


Prep time: 35 minutes

Serves: 2


  • Karela (Bitter gourd): 2 medium sized
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar: 2 teaspoons
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Mint Leaves: 4-5
  • Water: As required


  • Peel the skin of Karelas, cut it into pieces. Take out the seeds. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Add salt, sugar and lemon juice.
  • Cover and leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Blend it in a blender using water.
  • Strain the juice using strainer.
  • Pour the in a glass over 2-3 ice cubes.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and serve.
