Recipe – Spinach Juice / Green Juice

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Fresh Spinach leaves: 2 cups, washed and chopped
  • Green Apple: 1, trimmed and chopped
  • Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Ice cubes: 5-6

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients other than water and ice cubes, in a blender or juicer until smooth. Add water and blend again. Add little water at a time.
  • Strain the mixture.
  • Pour the juice over some ice cubes in a glass.
  • Serve immediately.

Recipe – Pineapple Orange Fruit Punch / Pineapple & Orange Juice

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Pineapple chunks: 2 cups
  • Orange pulp: 1 cup
  • Sugar / Honey: 1/4 Cup
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Water: 4 Cups
  • Ice Cubes: as required

Method

  • Blend pineapple chunks and Orange Pulp to smooth puree. Use water if required.
  • Pour mixture through a sieve into a bowl, pressing hard on solids.
  • In the juice, add sugar, lemon juice. Adjust water according to the required consistency. Mix it well until sugar dissolves.
  • Serve pineapple juice over ice, in a glass.

Recipe – Celery Juice / Celery Apple Juice

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • Celery: 2 medium stalks
  • Green Apple:1
  • Water: 1 ½ Cup or as required
  • Ginger: 1/4-inch piece
  • Lime Juice: 1 teaspoon

Method

  • Trim and chop celery stalks, apple and ginger.
  • Blend all the ingredients for 4-5 minutes until very smooth.
  • Pour the mixture through a sieve into a bowl, pressing hard on solids, if any.
  • Serve juice over ice, in a glass.

Cook’s Note

  • You may add 1 teaspoon jaggery or honey or sugar.
  • If you are using regular red apple, then peel it before blending.

Recipe – Kokum Sherbet / Kokum Juice

Prep time: 30 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • Dry Kokum: ½ cup
  • Chilled Water: as required
  • Black Salt: 1/4 teaspoon or as required
  • Sugar / Jaggery: ¼ cup or as required
  • Cumin Powder (bhuna jeera powder): ½ teaspoon
  • Ice cubes

Method

  • Soak the dry kokum in ½ cup of water for 30 minutes.
  • Blend the soaked kokum and water.
  • Strain the mix.
  • Add salt, sugar, cumin powder in the kokum juice and stir well.
  • While serving, add few ice cubes in 2 glasses, fill 1/4th of the glass with the kokum juice and rest 3/4th with chilled water. Stir and serve.

Recipe – Kale Juice / Ginger Kale Juice /Green Juice

Ingredients

  • Kale leaves: 4, washed and chopped
  • Spinach leaves: 1 cup, washed and chopped
  • Cucumber: ½ of medium sized, washed, peeled and chopped
  • Green Apple: 1, trimmed and chopped
  • Ginger: ½ inch, chopped
  • Lemon juice: of ½ lemon
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Jalapeno: 1/4 of a medium size or as per your spice level
  • Ice cubes: 5-6

Method

  • Pour the juice over some ice cubes in a glass.

Recipe – Chikoo Milkshake / Chikoo Smoothie

Ingredients

  • Ripe Chikoo: 2
  • Milk: 2 Cups
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract: ½ teaspoon
  • Vanilla Ice cream: 2 scoops
  • Ice Cubes: 4-6

Method

  • Peel and cut the Chikoo into small pieces. Deep fridge them in refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Blend the frozen Chikoo, sugar, milk, ice cream, vanilla extract until smooth.
  • While serving, add 2-3 ice cubes in a glass, pour the Chikoo shake.
  • You may add some Chikoo pieces in the shake while serving.

 

Recipe – Thai Iced Tea

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Serves: 4 cups

Ingredients:

  • Water: 4 ½ Cup
  • Sweet condensed milk / milkmaid: 4 tablespoons
  • Tea: 4 Teaspoon or 4 tea bags
  • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Cloves: 2
  • Cardamoms: 2
  • Star Anise: 1
  • Ice cubes: 8

Method:

  • Boil water, tea, cloves, cardamoms and star anise for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add sugar and boil for 2-3 minutes again. Turn off the heat.
  • Sieve and pour Tea in another container. Let it cool completely for 30 minutes.
  • Add 2 ice cubes and 1 tablespoon condensed milk in each of the 4 cups/glasses.
  • Stir well and serve.

Cook’s Note:

  • You may use tea bags. Boil water with cloves, cardamoms and star anise. Sieve and pour in another container. Add tea bags. Remove the tea bags after sometime.
  • You may use coconut milk instead of sweet condensed milk.
