Recipe – Spinach Juice / Green Juice

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Fresh Spinach leaves: 2 cups, washed and chopped
  • Green Apple: 1, trimmed and chopped
  • Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Ice cubes: 5-6

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients other than water and ice cubes, in a blender or juicer until smooth. Add water and blend again. Add little water at a time.
  • Strain the mixture.
  • Pour the juice over some ice cubes in a glass.
  • Serve immediately.

Recipe – Celery Juice / Celery Apple Juice

Ready in: 2 Minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • Celery: 2 medium stalks
  • Green Apple:1
  • Water: 1 ½ Cup or as required
  • Ginger: 1/4-inch piece
  • Lime Juice: 1 teaspoon

Method

  • Trim and chop celery stalks, apple and ginger.
  • Blend all the ingredients for 4-5 minutes until very smooth.
  • Pour the mixture through a sieve into a bowl, pressing hard on solids, if any.
  • Serve juice over ice, in a glass.

Cook’s Note

  • You may add 1 teaspoon jaggery or honey or sugar.
  • If you are using regular red apple, then peel it before blending.

Recipe – Kale Juice / Ginger Kale Juice /Green Juice

Ingredients

  • Kale leaves: 4, washed and chopped
  • Spinach leaves: 1 cup, washed and chopped
  • Cucumber: ½ of medium sized, washed, peeled and chopped
  • Green Apple: 1, trimmed and chopped
  • Ginger: ½ inch, chopped
  • Lemon juice: of ½ lemon
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Jalapeno: 1/4 of a medium size or as per your spice level
  • Ice cubes: 5-6

Method

Recipe – Baked Brussels Sprouts

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Brussels Sprouts: 18-20, Washed, trimmed and cut into halves,
  • Oil / Butter: 2 Teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 ½ teaspoon or to taste
  • Black Pepper powder: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Dried Oregano: 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder: ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice: 4-5 drops

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350-degree F or 180-degree C
  • Mix all the ingredients
  • Place a baking sheet on the baking tray. (Optional)
  • Place the ingredients on the baking tray.
  • Cover the tray with a lid or aluminum foil paper.
  • Prick the foil paper’s 1 or 2 places with a fork.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Take out and remove the cover.
  • Bake again for 15 minutes or till cooked.

Recipe – Avocado Salad

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • Avocado: 2,
  • Cucumber: ½ of a medium sized, peeled, trimmed and cut into small pieces
  • Onion: finely chopped, 1/2 tablespoon
  • Tomato: finely chopped, 1/2 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice: 2 teaspoon
  • Coriander/Cilantro leaves: 1/2 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder: ¼ teaspoon
  • Extra virgin Olive oil: 1 teaspoon

Method

  • Divide the avocado into 2 halves. Take out the seed. Cut into ½ inch thick slices then scoop out all the pieces using a spoon or knife.
  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients.
  • You may add grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese while serving.
  • You may add your favorite salad dressing: ranch, mustard etc.

Recipe – Carrot Beet Juice

Carrot Beet

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Ready in: 2 Minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • Beet: 1, medium sized, trimmed, peeled and chopped
  • Carrots: 2 medium sized, trimmed, peeled and chopped
  • Water: 2 Cups
  • Ginger: ½ inch piece
  • Lemon Juice: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: ¼ Teaspoon
  • Black salt: a small pinch
  • Sugar: 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • Black Pepper powder: ¼ Teaspoon
  • Mint Leaves: 4-5

Method

  • Blend all the ingredients for 4-5 minutes until very smooth.
  • Pour the mixture through a sieve into a bowl, pressing hard on solids, if any.
  • Serve carrot-beet juice over ice, in a glass.

Cook’s Note

  • You may add jaggery or honey instead of sugar.
  • You may boil the beet and carrot. Then blend with all the ingredients.

Recipe – Avocado Juice

Avocado juice

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • Avocado: 1, medium sized
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar: 2 teaspoons
  • Salt: ¼ teaspoon or to taste
  • Mint Leaves: 5-6
  • Ice Cubes: 4-5

Method

  • Cut the avocado into 2 halves. De-seed and scoop out the pulp using a spoon.
  • Blend the avocado pulp with sugar, salt and lemon juice.
  • Add water and blend until smooth.
  • Strain the mixture. (optional).
  • In a glass, add 2-3 ice cubes.
  • Pour the avocado juice.
  • Garnish with mint leaves.
