In the kitchen, you can add a nice kitchen table to offset or enhance you cabinet hardware and decor. One of the more popular options these days is to go with a bench or corner unit that makes better use of your square footage, adding a lot of seating in a very little space. If you have room in the center of your kitchen or at the end of it, you may want to go with a more traditional kitchen table or perhaps even a bistro table flanked by a couple of bistro chairs or stools. Another great choice is to go with a table that has folding sides so you can make the table bigger when guests are over and reduce its footprint when no one is using it.
Square shaped rooms work well with square tables, and are ideal for families that dont serve large groups regularly. In addition, square tables offer a more intimate feel than their rectangular counterparts. For the occasional holiday event, opt for a table with leaves to temporarily add to your seating space, or slide two square tables together. Like a round table, the larger a square table is, the harder it can be to reach food. If you regularly seat more than eight, consider a square table with leaves that can be turned into a rectangle when necessary.
Thats not to say that these tables arent still trendy. Its just that traditional brick and mortar retailers have only so much room for furniture and these other round tables have captured all the press this year.
